About Me:

Hey Panthers, and welcome to the 2023-24 school year! My name is Amanda Jackson, and I am your 7th grade School Counselor!

This is my first year as a counselor, but I could not be more excited to be kicking off my new career at Webber as a Panther! Believe it or not, I have wanted to be a counselor since my early years in high school, so this is a literal dream come true for me. Prior to counseling, I was a Cross-Country Coach and Spanish Teacher and for six years at Lincoln Middle School in Fort Collins from 2017-2023. While I LOVED teaching my amazing students and sharing my passion about the Hispanic culture and Spanish language, I was not able to work with kiddos on as deep of a level as I had hoped ever since high school. Luckily, Spanish is wonderful skill to have, and I hope to be able to use my language ability and cultural connections to work with our diverse student population at Webber!

When I am not counseling, you can find me practicing my own self-care on the slopes skiing or snowboarding around Colorado, while the slopes of Monarch Mountain in Salida, Colorado are my favorite; running; hiking; biking; paddle boarding; and basically anything else outdoors. Aside from that, my passions also include watching movies, playing videogames, and traveling the world with my amazing husband, Cody, who I have been with since senior year of high school! A few things that you may not know about me are that I am OBSESSED with Christmas, that I love the Denver Nuggets, and that I am a huge foodie.

I am SO excited to get to know each and every one of you, Panthers! Feel free to stop by my office in Student Services anytime to discuss social-emotional, academic, career, and schedule needs, or just to get to know each other a little bit! GO PANTHERS!!!
