I am a homegrown Fort Collins girl...I went to O'Dea, Boltz, and then was part of the first graduating class at the 'new' Fort Collins High School. From there I traveled across town to CSU, where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Science (Biology). I had planned to attend medical school, but had a change of heart my junior year. The summer I graduated from CSU, I started a post-baccalaureate program at UNC, where I earned my teaching license and Master's degree in Elementary Education. Because of the varietey of classes I took at CSU, I am highly qualified to teach science, social studies, and language arts at a secondary level...which leads me to where I am today!
I spent the first 12 years of my career at Erwin Middle School, where I taught 6th grade language arts and social studies. This is my first year at Webber, and I am excited to bring my knowledge and skills back to the district where I grew up.
I love the new adventure that every day brings. Every student is a unique being who views the world in a unique way...I love hearing their take on our world!
Right now my world revolves around my own children's interests. I spend every Saturday at the soccer fields, and most days dropping someone off at a practice of some sort! Any time I can spend with my family is a gift, and my most favorite times with them are our annual family vacations. I love to travel and explore new places with them.
