I am Mrs. Bauman-Stucky, or Mrs. Batman, as autocorrect likes to choose. This is my sixth year teaching at Webber. I teach Orchestra and Photography, and run the Mountain Bike Club.
Assignments and information for classes will be posted on student's Google Classroom. In Orchestra, students are expected to practice outside of class, but the specifics are not always posted. However, the practice cards are posted and students submit these weekly.
In all of my classes students learn techniques and skills to be successful at their instrument, whether that is a violin, viola, cello, bass, or camera!
I have a Bachelors in Music Education from Colorado State University, and a Masters in Music with emphasis in conducting from Colorado State University.
When I am not at home entertaining and training my two Australian Shepherds (Han and Chewie), I enjoy mountain biking SO MUCH! Biking anywhere is a great way to sustain health and see our beautiful state of Colorado. I love exlporing our wonderful city on bike or foot utilizing the great trail systems that make navigation safe and accessible.
I believe one of the best parts about being a teacher is observing students develop their independent learning. The more students learn the more questions they have. It is a joy to see the student's intrigue and efforts to increase knowledge. Middle School is a great time for students to try new things and discover ways to succeed through failures and successes. The best part of teaching the arts is seeing or hearing the moment students connect with the beauty in our world on a level previously unreached.
