What is your education background and experience?

BS in Sociology from The University of Oregon

Masters in Social Work from The University of Vermont

I have worked in PSD since 2009, starting with a position working with Elementary school families struggling with attendance and for 10 years as a Graduation Coach/Social Worker at PCA.

What are your favorite hobbies or interests outside of school?

I enjoy doing anything outdoors with my family (and my dog), walking, yoga and watching my two kids play soccer (which is where you'll find me most weekends during the season)!

What do you love most about teaching?

I love working with students to help them discover their potential and strengths that they might be unaware of. Kids of all ages need to know that they have someone who genuinely believes in them, listens to and cares about their daily lives. I strive to be a counselor who does all those things and provide a consistent, warm and comfortable atmosphere to help our students at times of need as well as share in times of celebration and success!
