In May 2021, I graduated from Penn State’s College of Education with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education English, minors in English and Education Policy Studies, and honors in Educational Psychology from the Schreyer Honors College. In August 2023, I earned my Master of Science in Educational Psychology from Penn State’s College of Education. In my time at Penn State, I taught and co-taught various classes and also had the chance to participate in incredible educational research. My research was focused on reading comprehension, self-regulated learning, and learning from multiple texts.
My favorite hobbies or interests outside of school include running, swimming, cycling, hiking, and spending time with friends. I also love cooking, grabbing coffee, reading, and writing. I love being outside, exploring, and getting into Type II fun.
I love so many things about teaching! First, I really value working and learning with students. I believe it is a privilege to be able to support people in their learning, and so I am grateful for the relationships I get to build with my students and for the chance to share in their journeys. Second, I really enjoy lesson planning, reflecting about my practices as a teacher, pursuing professional development opportunities, and taking risks/trying new things in my pedagogy. I find so much joy in this process and love to grow as a lifelong learner and teacher!
I'll be teaching the following courses this year at Webber:
- Connect
- 6th Grade English Language Arts
- Panther Essential Skills Extended Learning Opportunity
