About My Classroom

As a special education teacher, I believe that every child has unique strengths and deserves a learning environment that supports and celebrates their individuality. In my classroom, I focus on building strong relationships with my students, fostering trust, and creating a safe space where they feel valued and empowered to grow.

What is your education background and experience?

I hold a Master's degree in Special Education from Adams State University. I have been working in the field of education for 7 years. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to support students with a wide range of needs, and I continuously seek out new strategies and tools to meet those needs effectively. My experience has reinforced my belief in inclusive education and the importance of strong, supportive relationships in the classroom.

What are your favorite hobbies or interests outside of school?

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing disc golf, camping, fishing, hiking, and cheering on Arsenal.

What do you love most about teaching?

The connections I build with my students are what I love most about teaching. Watching them grow in confidence, overcome challenges, and reach their goals is incredibly rewarding. I’m passionate about helping students recognize their own value and potential and celebrating their progress every step of the way.
