Art Club
Art Club is a space for students to create artwork independently and an opportunity to participate in Webber Community art projects. Mrs. Ruiz will provide materials for free; however, donations are helpful. If interested in donating to the art club material fund, please email Mrs. Ruiz. chruiz@psdschools.org. You will need to sign up for art club with parental permission. There are 35 spots open for art club.

ASL Club
The ASL Club at Webber is open to all students and staff who are interested in learning and exploring American Sign Language—no experience required! In this club, members will learn basic ASL and explore Deaf culture and history.
Because Webber is home to one of the few Deaf and Hard of Hearing programs in PSD, students have a unique opportunity to connect with peers who already use or know sign language. The ASL Club is a welcoming, fun space where everyone can learn a new language, make friends, and build connections.

If you already know how to crochet or would like to learn, then this club is for you. Yarn and hooks will be provided or you may bring your own. Everyone is welcome.

Dungeons & Dragons and Tabletop Games
This is a student-initiated club. In this club we will meet after school to learn about Dungeons and Dragons, its history, how to make character sheets, play in a campaign, and develop skills to become a Dungeon Master. We are also open to playing other role-playing tabletop games for interested students. All students and staff are welcome to attend. Parents with DnD experience are encouraged to sign up to volunteer with PSD at Webber. Dungeon Master experience to facilitate and run multiple campaigns is always appreciated. We will start beginners with the first edition and level 1 characters whenever possible.

E Sports
E Sports is competitive video gaming, like other organized sports, where middle school teams play video games against each other in leagues and tournaments, fostering skills like teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and sportsmanship, while also providing academic, social, and emotional benefits through structured play and community building. It is administered by CHSSA and is structured like any competitive sport (Volleyball, Football, etc.). Tournaments will be held in December against Middle Schools from all over Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, New Mexico and Arizona.

Guitar Club
For anyone who is a beginner in guitar. There are guitars available to rent out to students so you do not need to provide your own! This is a yearlong club where students will learn acoustic songs and guitar chords together and sing.

Magic: The Gathering Club
Magic the Gathering is the world's original and most popular trading card game. Playing magic is an excellent way to stimulate the mind, think creatively and solve problems while improving linguistics, building social skills, and learning how to be respectful in competitive situations. This club is for anyone who plays Magic or wants to learn how to play. Cards and other supplies will be available for new players

Math Count
Math Counts is our Webber mathematics club. Students work to solve complex problems and learn about advanced math concepts we don't cover in the middle school curriculum. Students learn new problem-solving skills, how to operate under pressure, and how to solve problems collaboratively as a team. We will review big ideas from previous years, practice complex and competitive mathematics, and prepare for the Math Counts competition in our school for a spot on our team in December. Then the chosen team (up to 12 of our strongest club members) travel to Greeley to compete in the Northern Colorado MathCounts competition. It is free to attend and compete. Students are welcome to drop in to try out some new and challenging mathematics. We do welcome members of all math levels 6,7,8 and accelerated, but this is not a replacement for math support class or math tutoring.

Mountain Bike Club
The Webber Mountain Bike Club offers students the opportunity to explore single and double track trails, develop good riding skills, and create healthy habits. Participants should be able to ride at least 10 miles without stopping. Riders should wear tennis shoes, a helmet, and carry their own water either on their bike or in a back/hip pack. All bikes must have gears.
Registration forms and waivers will be in the front office. These must be signed to ride.

Newspaper Club
Do you like to write? Take pictures or videos? Create content like art, podcasts, or videos? Use your creativity? Interview people? Tell stories? Stay current on all that happens with Webber sports, events, clubs, and more? Write reviews of books and/or movies? Well then The Webber Weekly– Webber’s student newspaper club– is for you! Newspaper Club will meet weekly on Mondays from 2:30-3:30pm in Miss Young’s room in B-7. All are welcome and encouraged to join, and students can join at any point throughout the year- it is NEVER too late! We need a strong staff of student journalists for The Webber Weekly!

Science Bowl
Science Bowl is a team competition in which students pit their knowledge of Earth and Space Science, Life Science, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics against other schools in the region in a trivia-style competition. We compete in teams of 4-5 in a fast paced competition. It is fun and challenging and culminates in a State Competition in Windsor on February 7th with a chance for an all expenses paid trip to compete and Nationals in the Spring.

Science Olympiad
Science Olympiad explores in-depth science concepts and challenges students, as well as being a competitive event. Science Olympiad is a national organization and team members will represent our school in 23 Science events ranging from life, physical, and earth science topics to engineering and building challenges.
Each team consists of 15 students and they will compete in 3-5 events, of their choosing.
Students compete at the Regional and hopefully State level in March and April.

WAVE
Webber Aerospace Ventures in Education
Students simulate real space missions in this hands-on aerospace club. Each mission runs roughly a semester, with participants working in specialized teams that shift mission to mission depending on the mission's theme and location — past examples include Engineering, Life Support, Geology, Remote Sensing, Rover Operations, Medical, and more. Following NASA's structure, students advance through ranks — Mission Specialist, Commander, Project Manager, Astronaut, and Student Director — earning eligibility for each new role through mission experience.
Each mission culminates in a multi-day simulation where astronauts operate from our custom-built space shuttle while ground control teams collaborate to solve complex technical challenges. Depending on the mission, students may build mock reactors, program autonomous rovers, design radiation shielding, fly drones, engineer shelters, grow food in mock lunar/Martian conditions, and tackle a host of other authentic space exploration problems. WAVE's Flight Academy trains student pilots and crews on flight simulators and builds and launches model rockets as part of the mission cycle.
Meeting weekly throughout Semester 1 and again in Semester 2, WAVE develops critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership skills through realistic mission scenarios. Students learn to work under pressure, coordinate complex operations, and apply scientific knowledge to solve real problems.
Open to students in grades 6-8. No prior experience necessary — just curiosity about space exploration and willingness to work as part of a team.

Wellness Club
Wellness Club meets every Monday in the gym. We test new games, get exercise, and organize school wellness activities, such as our annual dodgeball night. If you like to move, have fun, and learn new games, then Wellness Club is for you! Come play!
