Registration Process
There are three main things your student will need to compete in a middle school sport:
1.) Specific team/sport registration:
PSD is using a new online registration platform called A Better Way, linked here. Please note: the process requires both parents and student athletes to watch onboarding videos, and the entire process takes 35-40 minutes. If you'd like additional step-by-step instructions, please click here.
2.) Sports physical (within one calendar year):
There is an option to submit your athlete's physical digitally through the new registration platform. You can also submit a hard copy to Athletic Assistant, Jamie Hontz. The physical is valid for 365 days and expires one year from the original date of completion. If the physical expires during a season that an athlete is participating in, a new physical must be completed and submitted to continue to be eligible to play.
FYI: A sports physical can be completed by a physician or chiropractor. or at the Health and Wellness Center at Lincoln Middle School or Centennial High School on a sliding scale ($0 - $35 for qualifying families) at the Health and Wellness Center at Lincoln Middle School or Centennial High School. For more information please call 970-488-4900.
3.) Payment or Waiver (for students who qualify for free or reduced lunch)
The athletic registration fee is $150.00 for PSD students and $220.00 for non-PSD students. Payments can be made via https://psdschools.schoolpay.com with no convenience fee. Individual schools cannot accept cash or check any longer, but if you need to use one of these methods of payment, you may do so in person at the PSD Support Services Center, 2407 LaPorte Ave., from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Fees may be waived for students who are eligible for free or reduced-price meals. Please contact Jamie Hontz (Athletic Secretary) or Becca Wren (Athletic Director) if you need help with this process. If a student does not make the team, the fees are refundable.
The registration process and payment/waiver must be completed prior to the first official practice/tryout.
