I am a third generation teacher. My grandmother taught first grade until she was 70 years old. My mother recently retired at age 70 (there's a trend forming) from teaching elementary art. My father also spent part of his career as a driver's ed instructor and industrial arts teacher. I wonder if age 70 will be my age for retirement too! That's a long way off!

There is so much to see and do in this world and never enough time to explore it all! In my free time, I mostly enjoy spending time with my family, reading, working on my genealogy page with ancestry.com and traveling. When time allows, I really enjoy volunteering with the City of Fort Collins as a Master Naturalist. Locally, I love the challenge of playing my flute and piccolo with the PVH/UCH Health and Wellness Orchestra in Fort Collins. Finally, my all time favorite activities revolve around spending time outside exploring natural areas, camping, horseback riding, canoeing or simply hanging out near water.
