I grew up in Fort Collins! I went to Bauder Elementary, Blevins Junior High (now middle school), and Rocky Mountain High School. I graduated from Colorado State University in 1990 with a degree in history. I later earned my master's degree from Grand Canyon University in the Art of Teaching.
I love working with my students and helping them grow as learners and young people. Every day is a new challenge. My job is never boring. Both of my parents were teachers, and I am proud to carry on the family tradition.
Most of all, I love spending time with my wife and two daughters. I love coaching, and I coach cross country, basketball, and track. I love watching sports, reading, watching movies, traveling, and eating cookies.
I teach 6th grade Social Studies and 7th grade Social Studies.
My classroom is a place where all students should feel welcomed and safe. I try to make Social Studies relevant and meaningful to my students. Homework is not given every night, but there is always something that students could be reviewing or practicing.
