I graduated from Colorado College in Colorado Springs with a major in Spanish and an Elementary Teaching Certificate.
I have taught elementary, high school and middle school in Colorado, Nebraska and Arizona.
I am beginning my 17th year at Webber Middle School.
Teaching first year Spanish is fantastic because I can take students from knowing next to nothing to writing, speaking and understanding Spanish by the end of one year. Helping to build a strong foundation in Spanish is very rewarding and seeing what students can accomplish after one year is exciting. I love hearing about students that continue with learning Spanish through high school and beyond, knowing that continued interest comes from a positive beginning.
I like to do pretty much anything that gets me outdoors, such as gardening, going to the mountains, camping and riding my cruiser bicycle. I spend a lot of time taking pictures and consider myself a serious hobby photographer. I can never get enough of spending time with my family and I read whenever I can.
My courses this year are Spanish One with 8th graders, Spanish 1A with 7th graders, Spanish 1B with 8th graders and Web 2.0 with 6th graders.
