I graduated with my Bachelor's degree from the Colorado State University in 2014. GO RAMS!
I love teaching because it allows me to make a positive impact on young people. Teachers are responsible for empowering students and for encouraging them to be the best versions of themselves. As a teacher, I know that I have the opportunity to make a difference everyday. It is my duty and my privilege to aide students in becoming adequate readers, writers, and communicators. In this process, I am able to build relationships with my students and to enjoy the individual attributes and quirks that each and every one of them have to offer. I am proud to be a teacher and I consider myself lucky to be able to pursue my passion at Webber MS.
Outside of school, I enjoy yoga, reading, enjoying live music, savoring delicious foods, and spending time with family and friends.
I currently teach 7th Grade English Language Arts, 8th Grade English Language Arts, and Extended Learning Opportunities: Creative Writing & World Cultures.
Previously, I taught Freshmen English Language Arts, 10th Grade World Literature, 11th Grade U.S. Literature, Modern Literary Perspectives, and Freshmen Seminar.
My classroom is a student- centered learning environment where young adults come to connect, collaborate, interpret, laugh, learn, and ultimately- grow. In my classroom, norms and expectations are clearly set so that students feel safe and honored. In C04, we work hard but we also have fun! I believe it is important to model curiosity, positivity, and care so that, in turn, my students strive to also exemplify these qualities.
