I have a BS degree in Education with a minor in Special Education from the University of Kutztown. This year marks the beginning of my 27th year as a teacher. I have taught grades 3rd, 5th and 6th. The majority of my teaching career, 20 years, has been spent teaching 6th graders. In past years I have also enjoyed working with the student leadership classes, as well as, various service learning projects.
I love watching a student learn to gain independence and confidence as a writer. I love the energy of a sixth grader who is eager to learn, hungry to know more about their world and still loves to have fun as they learn. This energy is contagious and makes for fun and interesting days!
I enjoy hiking, biking, camping and fishing with my family. I spend a good portion of my free time watching my daughters at their various sporting events. I also enjoy working in my yard and spending time with my family and friends.
