Parents and Guardians,
There is clear research and wisdom on the role parents can play to help their kids reach their potential and get the most out of sports. For many parents, this role is counterintuitive and good intentions end up having the opposite effect.
Poudre School District has partnered with The Positive Coaching Alliance to educate parents on how to create a “Development Zone” where our kids thrive, both as athletes and as people.
Important information regarding GIRLS BASKETBALL at Webber:
Webber Wrestling 2018
The Webber Wrestling Team begins their season right after the holiday break. Webber will host a Pre-Season Wrestling Camp from Tuesday January 8th – Friday January 12th 2018. The camp will meet in the cafeteria from 2:45 – 4:30 p.m. each day. Wrestling is a no-cut sport and the pre-season camp is a good way to try it out and see if you like it! Each wrestler must have a sports physical form on file in the front office in order to participate. Participants will need: shorts, t-shirt, and wrestling shoes (if you have them).
Any 7th or 8th grade girls that are planning on trying out for Webber basketball are welcome to attend a pre-tryout camp that will be held at Webber from Monday, December 18 through Wednesday, December 20. The camp will take place in the main gym from 2:50-4:30 pm. Any interested girls must have a current Athletic Participation Permission and Release packet as well as their physical on file in the front office in order to participate in the camp. See Mr. Long if you have any questions. Official tryouts for girls basketball will begin on Tuesday, January 9.
Come to Webber on January 16th at 6:30 pm to learn more about what it is like to be a student at The WEB. Check back for more information.
