6th Grade - 1:1 laptop permission form

We are getting closer to the date when we will begin distributing laptops to each 6th grade student. We are missing permission/consent forms from some students. If you haven't taken the time to watch the video (linked below) and return the signed consent, PLEASE DO! We are excited to get technology into your student's hands and in your homes. Please contact us if you have any questions!

Dear Webber 6th grade Students and Families,

We are extremely excited about the upcoming school year and wanted to share some important information regarding technology for the 2015-2016 school year.

Poudre School District is providing an opportunity for Webber Middle School to expand our capacity as a campus to provide technology for all students. This school year our 6th Grade students will be the first class to have 1:1 technology option on the Webber campus. All 6th Grade students will be assigned a laptop in the beginning of the school year for use at school and home to support our new focus on integrating technology in all content areas. For your student to be ready for this 1:1 rollout, you will need to do a few steps. Below are links that Poudre School District has put to together to help with this process and introduce some computer/internet safety tips.

Please click on the following link to complete the necessary steps. You will be most successful if you open in Google Chrome.

PSD Provided Device Resources: At this site, please take a look at the following items:

 PSD Provided Device Effective Practices- Short video

 PSD Family & Student Computer Handbook

 PSD Provided Device user agreement

After filling out the Family and Student user agreement sheet, please bring this completed form to Webber Middle School on August 19th, 2015 from 2:00-5:00pm while your student is picking up their schedule. There will be a station to pay this PSD technology fee along with other Webber fees if applicable.

We look forward to this new exciting 1:1 technology opportunity for our 6th Grade students and we hope to open up new avenues of instruction and support for our Webber families. Please contact me if you have any additional questions on this program or anything related to our school community.

Educationally Yours,

Christopher Kieffer
